GOlen Globe awards 2009 celebrities and Fashion.........First read this and in next post u can see just pics....Oscars is comming up also/...stay tune

Award show season has arrived, folks! Red carpet and after parties aside, this means that fashion industry insiders are considerably more swamped than usual. Designers are trying to get their dresses in the right hands, while stylists are nosing out the most spectacular gowns and accessories for their star clients (who are sometimes more concerned with receiving best-dressed mentions than acting accolades), and we're trying to write about it! Indeed, it's a demanding time of year, but completely worth the strain when the end result is a jaw-dropping look. At the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards, a handful of lovely ladies accomplished this gratifying outcome and we were delighted to see some major red carpet moments!

Olivia Wilde
Our first hand-picked celeb is Olivia Wilde, because the House M.D. actress chose a lavender Reem Acra gown that brilliantly complemented her tan complexion. Wilde wisely kept her hair swept behind her ears in order to flaunt her Van Cleef & Arpel's Socrate Diamond Earrings, and completed her look with a Jimmy Choo clutch and shoes.

Maggie Gyllenhaal
Gyllenhaal also caught our eye, thanks to her striking dress choice. It's uncommon to find a bold print at an event like the Globes, so we love that she took a risk a wore a leopard-patterned Lanvin dress. The one-shouldered turquoise gown, coordinating Lanvin shoes, and Fred Leighton earrings all deserve applause!

Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie reinforced her living-goddess status, yet again. It was nice to see her out of basic black, as the hottest mom in history chose a shimmering neutral Atelier Versace dress, along with Jimmy Choo heels, and platinum jewelry by Neil Lane.

Alek Wek
One of our favorite supermodels, Alek Wek, piqued our interest in her Christian Dior dress. We're fans of the frock's youthful, shorter hemline and also have a predilection for the sequins! Plus, the turquoise hue was one of the most lovely and lively shades of the evening!

Cameron Diaz
The eye-catching pink Chanel Haute Couture gown that Cameron Diaz flaunted at the Globes was simply phenomenal! The actress matched the asymmetrical number with a Chanel clutch, Rene Caovilla shoes, and wisely chose to keep her hair and make-up unfussy. Diaz's fresh look hit just the right note for the occasion.

Kristin Scott Thomas
We are compelled to include Kristin Scott Thomas in our roundup, as the actress really impressed us with her taupe Lanvin gown, accessorized with a coordinating Lanvin clutch and Martin Katz jewelry. Thomas looked gorgeous, regal, and, above all, totally age-appropriate.

Eva Mendes
We are ecstatic to concentrate on Eva Mendes' astonishing ensemble for a moment! The actress worked the red carpet in a snowy, strapless Christian Dior dress, Casadei shoes, and a Ferragamo bag. We love her old-school glamorous look and are simply obsessed with her turquoise Van Cleef & Arpels bib necklace. We anticipate to see many similar statement-making pieces in upcoming award shows, so keep your eyes peeled!

Emma Stone
Amongst the younger set (who primarily attended the Globes' after-parties), we were particularly impressed with Emma Stone's appearance. The starlet greatly inspired us in a custom-made Shaun Kearney for Cynthia Steffe navy gown and Jimmy Choo Seduce Satin Sandals (another point to Choo!).

Demi Moore
As Rachel Zoe might say, Demi Moore "shut it down" on the red carpet. The veteran actress earned WWW's admiration in a stunning peach chiffon Dior dress and platinum Cartier jewelry (valued at over a million dollars!).

Marisa Tomei
Marisa Tomei is entitled to much acclaim, on account of the Oscar de la Renta ensemble she selected. The actress cinched a wide, fashion-forward belt over her voluminous blouse and long black skirt. Tomei enhanced her top's tiered sleeves with layers of platinum Neil Lane necklaces for a truly unique outcome. Also notable was Tomei's choice of a chic Fendi clutch!

Drew Barrymore
Next up we have the widely-adored, Drew Barrymore, who look like a silver screen siren in her John Galliano for Christian Dior Couture gown and Roger Vivier shoes. We would have liked to see her hair done in a more modern look, but nonetheless, Barrymore's outfit is excellent.

Jennifer Carpenter
To conclude our sophisticated collection of celebs, we are proud to introduce WhoWhatWear.com newcomer, Jennifer Carpenter. The Dexter actress stunned in a form-fitting, sophisticated, strapless Pamela Roland dress, Mary Norton clutch, and platinum jewelry by Neil Lane.—Jessica Amento
